Gatwick Projects

We have many years experience working at Gatwick Airport and therefore fully appreciate the high profile nature of the contracts that we undertake. Our team are well presented and understand the requirements when working in busy public areas.
Our personnel are registered on the Airdat training system to ensure that we meet Gatwick Airports very stringent Health and Safety requirements.
We currently have three authorised signatories who are fully conversant with the security procedures at Gatwick Airport and they are able to deal with all the pass applications and associated administration.
In addition we have five staff who hold an Airside Driving Permit, therefore enabling site equipment and materials is transported efficiently.

Electrical Installations

At Leading Electrical Services all our managers and staff are fully qualified JIB electricians having had many years of experience in engineering, project management, supervision and installation of various types of commercial electrical installations in Airports, Retail, Theatres, Hospitals and offices to name but a few. We have the technical ability to carry out the most demanding of challenges.

Fire Alarm and PAVA Installations

This is one of our main areas of work, we are fully conversant with the installation of all types of fire alarm systems, public address and voice alarms systems. Our clients currently include Honeywell Building Solutions and ADT, and we are currently involved with a number of projects at Gatwick.

HVAC and BMS Control Systems

We are highly experienced in the installation of heating and ventilation control wiring including containments systems, power and controls wiring, installation of control equipment, inverters and panels. Our clients include Honeywell Building Solutions and we are continually involved with upgrades / renewals throughout the airport.

Baggage Control Systems

This is another one of our main areas of work, our staff have had many years of experience in the installation of baggage controls systems, including containments systems, power and controls wiring, installation of controls equipment and panels. Our clients include Siemens, Babcock, Beumer and Daifuku/Logan and we have ongoing works in both the North and South Terminals at Gatwick Airport.

Testing

We work in strict accordance with guidelines from the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) and the latest BS7671 Wiring Regulations. Our qualified electricians have many years of experience, they also have the necessary skills and expertise to provide you with the technical and electrical service necessary to keep your equipment running. We are experts in all types of electrical testing and inspection. Our dedicated team are available to provide professional advice to ensure that all your electrical requirements are met.

Retail

Leading Electrical Services have recently carried out the electrical installation of the new Pret a Manger retail outlet within the North Terminal IDL plus the upgrade of the existing Pret a Manger in the South Terminal IDL.
